If I had only two days in Bansko, I would not try to see everything.
For me, a good weekend is not about ticking off as many places as possible. It is about slowing down and enjoying where you are.
Friday evening
I would arrive without rushing, settle in and give myself a little time simply to breathe.
After the journey, I would choose an easy dinner and a quiet evening — no plans and no clock-watching.
Just a glass of wine and that lovely feeling that, for the next two days, there is nowhere I need to hurry to.
Saturday
For me, Saturday begins with a slow breakfast and good coffee.
Then — the mountains, a walk or simply some time outdoors, depending on the season and my mood.
I do not like planning every minute. Sometimes the best thing is simply to go outside and see where the day takes you.
I would deliberately leave the afternoon free.
A few hours by the pool, some spa time, or simply staying in the apartment with a book, music and nothing in particular to do.
Sometimes that is exactly what I need.
In the evening, I would wander through Bansko, choose somewhere lovely for dinner and enjoy the atmosphere of the town.
Sunday
I would make Sunday even slower.
Coffee, a late breakfast and a little more time outside before returning to everyday life.
I would not fill the final day with too many activities.
I want to leave feeling genuinely rested — not as though I need another weekend to recover from this one.
For me, that is what a lovely weekend is.
Not the number of places you have visited, but the feeling you take home with you.
That is exactly the kind of moment Mila Stays is made for — slow mornings, cosy evenings and the comfort of having your own place to return to after a day in the mountains.
That is how I would spend my weekend.
How would you spend yours?
